Climate Change

Climate Change, the significant mix -up the world facing has become more challenging for them. India is one of the most vulnerable countries to climate change impacts, according to a risk index released. As per the reports on climate change. the South Asian nation is the 6th most vulnerable nation in a list from which Haiti is at top which is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. These alarming ranks were released by Berlin.based NGO German watch at the global climate summit, which was held in Bonn, the city of Germany. The Global Climate Risk Index 2018 examines the extent to which countries have been affected by the impacts of weather-related loss events such as storms, floods and heat waves.

The new growing India which is transitioning from rural to urban, will be needing more energy and thus dependency on more fossil fuels, with more
buildings coming up, more depend for household appliances and more vehicles on the road. This would again increase the average temperature of India.
This additional heat stress will lead of many extreme events like draught, floods and heat waves. This will affect lives of many people, especially poor and
elderly. India needs to adapt strongly with these conditions, especially when it wants to fulfill its Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) during
the 2015 Paris Agreement.

Few solutions for facing these challenges would be shifting to more energy efficient equipment, using renewable energy and technology. Green Leaf works
as providing and implementing these solutions in the required areas so that we can give better tomorrow.
